If you attended GamesBeat in San Francisco last week, you may have stumbled upon our Game Zone, where we hosted six talented indie developers as they showcased their games. We selected the group from an extensive pool of applicants to demo their up-and-coming apps.
Our all-star devs* consisted of:
- Bandura Games with RunZoo
- BeBopBee with Snapimals
- Cloudcade with ShopHeroes
- Flow State Media with Zodiac Brawlers
- Game Gardener with MegaTank
- Rhymeo Co. with Rhymeo
With an increasingly competitive app market, it can be a challenge for smaller studios to break into the industry and gain exposure. That’s why we invited six industry experts to score the games, and provide feedback based on innovation, creativity, and monetization ability. Our judging panel featured experts from mobile gaming’s most influential companies including Glu, Kongregate MobCrush, and more.**
“It’s inspiring to see new studios working hard to put forth innovative products in an extremely competitive market,” said Chris Akhavan, Glu Mobile’s President of Publishing.
After two days of demoing at our booth and entertaining hundreds of GamesBeat attendees, our developers waited in anticipation as VentureBeat’s Dean Takahashi announced the winner to receive up to $20,000 in TrialPay’s monetization and acquisition services: Shop Heroes by Cloudcade! A fantasy shop simulation and city building game, Shop Heroes puts users in charge of building the ultimate city and dominating the global economy.
Cloudcade’s CEO, Di Huang, expressed how winning the Game Zone will help further propel his team on their path to success, “We are always looking for new channels to diversify our monetization as well as improve our UA strategy ,and the $20,000 from TrialPay will help us do just that!”
